ProposalModify the wording in API 5CT, Section 8.2, to remove the conflict between API 5CT and API Q1 regarding the use of verification for measuring equipment. The current use of verification in API 5CT, Section 8.2, allows only a visual examination as a verification of measurement equipment accuracy. This does not align with API Q1 that requires verification of measuring equipment to be against a standard of know accuracy. Unnecessary monogram audit findings are being generated due to this conflict. Not taking this action will allow continued and unresolvable audit findings within the monogram audit process.
