Subcommittee Scope

Welcome to the home page of the API Subcommittee on Corrosion & Materials (SCCM).  The SCCM conducts research and develops and revises industry standards that address issues related to refining process equipment.   Issues of particular interest to the SCCM include: fabrication requirements, corrosion mechanisms, equipment reliability, refractory systems, and reducing capital and maintenance costs, while increasing safety, equipment lifespan and reliability.  Each meeting of the Subcommittee and its task groups provides a forum for an information exchange on problems and opportunities where industry experts share experiences from operations around the world.

This site houses the SCCM working documents, meeting agendas and presentations, and other relevant material.

Please Note: Minutes and other member working documents are located on a SCCM secure page entitled "SCCM Committee Docs" and require the user to log in from this home page. For those members who do not have access, please contact the API staff person listed below.
